Awhile back I stumbled across this plant source, with curiosity I had to do some research & of course experiment by combining the edible tubers that look like
they could be from the Nut family.
Tiger nut/Chufa are actual tubers, they have a delicious sweet nutty taste, almost like having marriage of two nuts, almonds and coconut. It also provides a
good nutritional profile.
Tiger nuts are rich in fiber, vit, minerals & other beneficial plant compounds. When buying the whole raw form of the tuber, always pre-soak it, germinating or
roasting tiger nuts prior to eating them can boost their antioxidant levels therefore allowing the body to absorb the nutrients.
Tiger nuts are rich in heart-healthy fats, thanks to the monounsaturated fats.
I used some vanilla Clean Lean Protein from @nuzest, this adds not only that sublet vanilla flavour to the recipe, but also provides a good protein profile,
therefore Ideal as a post workout smoothie, the Clean Protein, is what it is, CLEAN, therefore I find it is easy on digestion as it is allergen-free. I also love the fact
that there is No gluten, dairy, soy, nuts or eggs. No fillers, additives or preservatives. No added sugar or artificial sweeteners. Just clean, lean.
