This treat gives you the chance to make your very own homemade ice cream with a spooky twist.

Method

Start by adding all the ingredients for the ice-cream mixture into your high speed blender or food processor. Blend until a smooth consistency is achieved.

Pour the ice-cream mixture into your moulds. Place it in the freezer for 2 hours to set.

Whilst you wait for the ice-cream, you also need to make your “skull candies” start by adding all the ingredients together pour the mixture into your Halloween themed mould and place them in the fridge to set.

After 2 hours, you can start making your coating for the ice-cream, this will create another layer of “white chocolate” to your ice-creams layers.

PS For the almost spotted black marbled effect, you can add a few drops of *charcoal colouring to your “white chocolate coating”. Coat your ice-creams with the coating, placing them on a non-stick baking sheet and pop them back in the freezer for another 30min to set. Once the time has passed, you can them decorate the ice-creams with your chocolate skull candies.

These ice-creams keep in the freezer for 3 weeks, ensure you store them in a airtight freezer friendly container.

NOTES: ** The peanut butter must be super runny otherwise the ice-cream filling will not be smooth when you blend it. If you find the mixture is not smooth, add a little more coconut oil.

*Charcoal, or natural vegetable food colouring is best, please avoid using artificial food colouring as it is harmful to the body.
