Since strawberries are in season, let’s embrace it and add these delicious bright, vibrant fruits into our day.

Delicious on its own. But versatile enough for you to create a healthy swap when it comes to those cravings.

These are great especially if you’re trying to add more healthier dessert options into your lifestyle.

Strawberries are very rich in antioxidants and plant compounds.

They’re an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese and also contain decent amounts of folate (vitamin B9) and potassium.

Making this a great must have dessert swap, full of nutrients, fiber, healthy fats and protein!

Method

Start by pre-soaking your strawberries with the fruit and veggie wash.

Once soaked, rinse and strain all the liquid off. Pat dry the strawberries and set aside on a paper towel allowing for all the water to dry off before coating the strawberries.

You can combine all the ingredients for the coating apart from the strawberry protein and vanilla extract. Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil into a microwave safe bowl.

Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave for 20sec, stir in between and microwave for another 20sec. Make sure not to burn the chocolate. Once the chocolate is melted you can add your vanilla extract and strawberry protein powder. Mix until even.

I like using Nuzest protein as it has a fine powder like texture making it so easy to mix. The flavour profile is on point and it is quality protein. Free from fillers and it is environmentally friendly.
