Clean Lean Protein recipe
These simple yet easy morning squares requires no baking, making breakfast simple and easy for the family. These squares are a bit of a combination with the concept of taking your usual morning oatmeal to a different version in taste, texture and nutrition.

Ingredients

1.5 Cups of Organic Oats (Finer oats works better)

1 Sachet of Nuzest Rich Chocolate Clean Lean Protein

1 Tablespoon of Dark raw cacao

1 Whole organic egg

1/3 Cup of date paste

1/3 Cup of chopped macadamia nuts

1 Tablespoon of almond butter

3 Tablespoons of desiccated coconut

Pinch of cinnamon

1/3 to 1/2 Cup of water (or nut milk)

1 Teaspoon of vanilla extract

These simple yet easy morning squares requires no baking, making breakfast simple and easy for the family. These squares are a bit of a combination with the concept of taking your usual morning oatmeal to a different version in taste, texture and nutrition.

Often when skipping breakfast, we might find we feel sluggish and struggle to focus.

Our brains need the energy from having a good combination of nutrients to kickstart our day.

By starting the day with a combination of whole plant-based compounds our bodies will naturally crowd out less processed foods.

Within the base of the squares I added some macadamia nuts, not only because they add a real creamy texture when you bite into the squares. But Macadamia nuts are such a nutrient dense nut. Not only are they high in monounsaturated fat, but high in protein and fiber as well, keeping the hunger at bay and allowing for a slow release of energy.

Method

Mix the above ingredients together until thoroughly mixed, it should reach a dough like consistency.

Flatten out into your small square tray, (my tray’s size 12x12cm). Pop into the microwave for 3-4min.

Once 3 min has passed, turn the square shaped mold over onto a large board. It should not stick and just pop out. If still a bit too moist, you can place it back in the microwave for 30seconds, or for a toasted version you can pop it back for 3min at Grill level, this will make it slightly toasted.

Turn over once ready, allow to cool before cutting and spreading your Peanut-Butter-Jell-o toppings onto the squares.

**Option to bake (bake at around 8min-10min on 180 Degrees C)
