It is breakfast time, what to make for the kids, or yourself, no worries. A simple overnight easy chai oatmeal porridge, could be the answer, for the kids why not try adding some of the delicious latest editions to the Nuzest Family, Kids Good Stuff, you can check out their flavours on their page.

I have used the Choc Banana version, for adults you can use your Clean lean protein from Nuzest if you prefer. Or just join in on the Kids Good Stuff.

With this idea I used some white chai seeds, just because of the colour, but if you have black, use it instead. Chai seeds soaked overnight really thicken well, not only known for its fibre content but the fact that it is also high in much needed Omega-3 fats, high in protein, as protein thanks to the amino acid profile, plus this combination of the below breakfast will allow those mornings to be a crave free late morning afternoon, it will keep you fuller for longer, plus you have had a clean breakfast, this beats those boxed chocolate cereals they market these days to kids.

____

I also used some oatmeal, large organic oats is key, if you don’t have or don’t enjoy oats, I can also recommend to use quinoa flakes, they are finer but it also works well.

Oats is high in fibre, plus it has added antioxidants, oats is also another winner as it allows for a consistent slow energy release throughout the morning, avoiding those sugar spikes!

____

This recipe with the overnight oat base also allows you to make a few batches and close them in their own glass jars in the fridge for the next 2 days.

____

Therefore over the next three mornings you can change some ingredients around to give some different variations.

  • Dash of Almond Milk
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of almond butter *optional
